About
Our Club
The
Wisconsin Garden Railway Society (WGRS) was formed in November
1990. The WGRS is an informal organization of individuals and families
primarily in the Wisconsin area who share an interest in Large Scale
Trains and Garden Railroading. We meet nine or ten times a year, usually
from 1 to 3:30 in the afternoon of the fourth Sunday of the month,
generally at members' homes. Programs include "How To"
demonstrations, "Show-and-Tell", layout construction and of
course train operations on the host's layout.
Members
are from every walk of life and express their varied interests through
their approach to the hobby. Many have permanent outdoor "in the
garden layouts", some have extensive indoor layouts, some do not have
their own layout and only run at another members or at one of the many
shows we do, and some come with only their interest in trains. ALL ARE
WELCOME!
